Our team mates came home from Spring Nationals with an impressive 6 medals! More than 2,000 swimmers from every region of the U.S. competed in the event at the IU Natatorium between May 9 - 12. Sherry Sill, Graeme Spence and Larry LeMaire were there to represent Irish Masters. Each one stood out in all of their events. Follow these links for individual results: Sherry's results. Summer Schedule
Our summer schedule has begun. We now meet every Tuesday and Thursday between 6pm and 7pm. See you at the pool!
About Irish Masters
The Irish Masters practice at Rolfs Aquatic Center on the Notre Dame campus.
DUES: $40 per semester. You may pay your fee on deck. For community members, not affiliated with Notre Dame, there is a $3 guest fee payable at the door when you come in.
USMS Membership: Irish Masters requires everyone to join USMS. Membership lets you compete in meets and also provides some lilability coverage at practice. You can join online at USMS.org. There is a discounted rate for students.
Swimmers must be 18 or older to join.

To Join Or Renew Your USMS Membership
All Masters are required to have USMS membership for insurance purposes and to participate in meets. To join USMS click on: http://www.usms.org/reg/. Make sure that you pick "Irish Masters (IRM)" as your team affiliation. Once you have done this, please email a copy of your registration card to Sara Pope-Davis so that we have your information on file.

Please visit the Meets/Results page for links to all results from meets that Irish Masters swimmers have participated in. Posting of official USMS results usually takes a month or more.

James Fetter Earns Ph.D.
james_fetterCongratulations to James who received his Ph.D. in Political Science from Notre Dame. James graduated on January 6, 2013 and walked at the ceremony in May. James started at Notre Dame in August 2005, and for this and perhaps the following academic year, he is a postdoctoral fellow affiliated with the Tocqueville Center for Inquiry into Religion and American Public Life. James plans on pursuing a career in academia as a professor and is actively seeking tenure-track positions in his field. James is a long time member of Irish Masters, in fact, one of the earliest members of our team. We know him as an accomplished swimmer and friend. Congratulations James, we are proud of you and your amazing achievements.

Practice Location
Rolfs Aquatic Center on the University of Notre Dame Campus. Rolfs is the only 50 m LC pool in the area and the most competitive pool in Northern Indiana. For information: (574) 631-5980.

Reminder to everyone to register www.usms.org . The student subscription is $20/year; all others are $35/year. With this you will receive Swimmer Magazine 6 times a year.
